What should I wear?
Loose and comfortable clothing allows the physiotherapist to assess and treat the problem area - you may find shorts and gym clothes helpful. The therapist will explain the areas that need to be exposed and the clothing, if any, that would need to be removed to carry out the assessment effectively.
Can you refer me to a specialist?
Yes, if the physiotherapist feels that a specialist opinion would be of benefit (for example X-rays, MRI scans, blood tests, etc.) this will be discussed with you and will only be done with your permission.
Do I need a referral from my doctor?
No; you may consult a physiotherapist without a referral from your GP although during your treatment communication between the physiotherapist and GP is encouraged for your benefit. This will only be done with your consent.
If you have any further physiotherapy questions, please call us on01244 565 650
How long are follow-up appointments?
45 minutes and you will receive a copy of your treatment programme to ensure you continue your exercises at home or work! The physiotherapist will then review your progress and adjust the plan accordingly to ensure you continue to make good progress towards achieving full rehabilitation.
We have plenty of free parking, full disabled access and can treat people of all abilities.
